Related Internet Resources for
Media Relations and Public Relations
This page is always under construction. We're interested in
listing other sites here with PR/media relations resource material, especially
those that might want to cross-link with us.
The site must offer substantial public relations or media relations resources.
It must be more than an advertising vehicle for a PR firm.
If you think your website belongs in this list, or know one that does, give us
its URL
so we can check it out. Click here

Jakob
Nielsen's Website - Jakob Nielsen
knows more about what makes websites work than anyone in the world. Back
in ancient times (early 1990s) Sun Microsystems gave Nielsen the time and
resources to do nothing but think about, and research, the Internet. How
it could be used. Its future. Designs that make it effective.
He had earlier worked for IBM. Nielsen, now an independent consultant and
author of nine books, found that download time is the single most
important feature of a website. That the same information, presented in
different formats, will have very different results. The first time I read
his essay on writing for the web, I became a disciple. I went back the
next day to re-read it several times. He publishes a new essay at his
website about every two weeks, and all his previous essays are archived there.
You can subscribe (for free) and get an e-mail message telling you when each new
essay is posted. Great stuff.
